The Area Mental Health Center has received an increasing number of requests to communicate by email, as well as an increasing number of web site searches for clinicians' email addresses.
The policy of the Area Mental Health Center is that email communication from Center staff to clients is prohibited. This policy has been put into place to protect the confidentiality of our clients. Area Mental Health Center recognizes that email communication is convenient for many people, but that it also contains a number of risks, both general and specific, that may compromise privacy.
The best way to communicate with the Center or with Center staff is by telephone.
